Pressekonferenz der Initiative STOPP SEXKAUF
Am 18. Februar fand in der Schwedischen Botschaft in Wien eine Pressekonferenz - organisiert von der Initiative STOPP SEXKAUF - statt, an der zahlreiche Gäste und MedienvertreterInnen teilnahmen. SOLWODI Österreich ist Mitglied dieser Initiative und setzt sich dafür ein, dass Frauen, die in der Prostitution ausgebeutet werden, Alternativen und Ausstiegsmöglichkeiten geboten werden.
Ziel der Initiative ist auch das Verbot von Sexkauf, weil Frauen damit zum Konsumgut und zur Ware gemacht werden. Diese unmenschliche Form der Ausbeutung hat Auswirkungen auf die Beziehungen zwischen Frauen und Männern in unserer Gesellschaft. Wir fordern eine gänzlich neue Prostitutionspolitik für Österreich nach schwedischem Vorbild: Nicht die Prostituierten, sondern die Käufer sollen gesetzlich belangt werden!
